About
Dee has been playing World of Warcraft for what feels like forever; her first character was a Night Elf Rogue during the infamous pre-release Stress Test, wherein she valiantly pretended to be from Canada. She got Yareth all the way up to a whopping Level 10, wherein she promptly abandoned him and rolled a Tauren Shaman. An Undead Priest followed, and somewhere in there Dee fell in love with the Horde.
Upon release, Dee rolled an Orc Rogue, Noxxul, whom she managed to get to 50 before realising that she really, really hated Rogue. So, after some thought, she re-rolled a Troll Shaman, Ulfrun, (they were hella OP in those days, honest) and played the class all the way into Wrath.
Sometime after one of her regular WoW-downtimes, Dee decided to re-roll an alt. An Alliance alt. On a completely different server. Thus was Noxxul re-born as a Draenei Death Knight, then sex-changed into a male Night Elf, Severin. Ulfrun was eventually bought over into the Alliance fold as well.
Once upon a time Dee ran a successful guild, Elavion, and helped start a raiding alliance, Sephira, but nowadays she mostly just farms Battlegrounds and wishes she had enough gold to buy a Mekgineer’s Chopper. She’s a dedicated casual; her favorite activities are questing, exploration and tweaking her UI. She’s good friends with the model and map viewer, and has never been invited to a Beta, despite having played since before release and owning every Collector’s Edition.
Azeroth.me was set up as a place for Dee hide her blather about World of Warcraft so that it didn’t spam her main blog, void-star.net.
Oh, and one other thing…
In case you couldn’t tell from the pronouns, Dee is a woman. She’s also an unabashed feminist, and generally tries to score high on the Social Justice Points Rosterâ„¢. If you’re one of those d00dly d00des who gets scared by concepts like “privilege” and “intersectionality” — or get pissy when you’re told your opinions on the “lesbian transwomen-with-disabilities of colour” posts don’t mean shit and are, in fact, offensive — this might not be the best blog for you to be commenting on.
